Inspiration?!

I encountered 3 stories in a day, pertaining to philosophy of human beings.

The very first one, it was from The Star newspaper's pullout. A small little boy, at the age of 6, was with pancreatoblastoma and he was told that he could only survive for a year, or maybe 5 among the handful of rare cases. The little boy, never stopped believing that it was like other sickness, for instance, flu or fever, that would recover soon right after it. Before going into the operation theatre, the boy went before the status of Jesus in the foyer of John Hopkins hospital. He put a small notes on it, written, ' This is Grayson. Please heal other kids.' This simple little notes made the newspaper readers in tear when the journalist discovered it. Miraculously, the boy is now 19! Even though he's suffering from many other disease, he never gave up on his cheerful smile and doing a fund-raising for the hospital for the children like him! That's why, sometimes, we should not be so selfish, only thinking of ourselves. Try to think for others, share your love, your everything. You may be losing something, but in other way, you may gain something invaluable!

The second one, it was a story from the radio. A king, who had a buffalo hump, didn't really feel satisfied with his abnormal figure. He didn't want people to take photo of him. Soon, he became very pessimistic. One day, there came an artist and would like to offer to draw the king a portrait. The king complained that he didn't have a good outlook and refused so. However, he was then convinced by the artist that he would draw him a portrait of how the king was supposedly looked like. The king with a perfect outfit and figure in the portrait. He hung it in the majestic hall and he would look at it every day, thinking that he would be looked that way. As time went by, the King became optimistic and was unconscious over the vanishing of his hump! He looked exactly the same as the one in the portrait! In the nutshell, if we have faith and beliefs in ourselves, nothing is impossible. Just having to step out for the very first step!

Last but not least, I got this story from a close friend of mine. I was told that he's a vegetarian. The past he encountered didn't really sound great compared to others. However, he never gave up in doing charity and being happy of his life. I just got to know that the single-mother's son, had a few adopted younger siblings. His family let them to stay in their house for already so many years and my friend treated them like his biological siblings! I could see now he was blessed for something, maybe he realised that though. Yes, something may be not so successful, but others are going smoothly. I hope that as time goes by, he would get better and better. I pray hard for God that He would take good care of him. If possible, I would take care of him in the future for his good deeds because I love this friend so much! He had been my one of the best companions ever.

Human Beings

Recently something happened on me dawned me that this society is a reality.

Non of your close friend, or even your family members, would sacrifice anything, prior to money, for you without any condition. Every one would do anything for a reason. No matter how good he conceals, one day, he would unveil it inadvertently or purposely. That's the real colour of him.

I wonder, is there really such good Samaritan who would not bother and just to lend you a freaking hand? Well, I did have one, nearly close to perfect. But I just realised I was being brain washed by another cunning friend whom I didn't wake up from his world! I felt bad of myself for treating him badly just because of the words I listened without filtering them before they entered into my Wenickle's area. I should have be there to support him fully. Anyway, it was a past now.

Not to say friends, even your lover would do the same thing to you. Normally, they would always want you to pay for them, and they would reluctant to pull out the notes from their purse or wallet! But this normally happens to guys, of course. If you don't pay for them, you're not gentlemen, you're stingy, you're bla bla bla. Please, if I were working, that's fine, I'm still a student! Should you foot the bill a little bite, not to say fully AA, at least to lessen my burden. Some lover even would ask money from you, open both of their hands, and the funny thing is, they are working while you're not!

Sometimes, it happens on family members as well. I came across someone, their sons wanted to eat an egg, they would have to pay 30 cents! What the, is this family or a business? You want to give birth and you want to count until so detailed with him?! So, you do expect what you 'invested' for the first 20 years won't be paid back because the son would flee? That's funny.

I confess that I'm not a so-called perfect friend. But at least I would sacrifice for any one anything, that's reasonable, including money! Well, as you know, I'm a student, what do you expect?!

Result Day

Had been waiting so impatiently and anxiously, I kept praying and praying each and every day that my name would be appeared on the pass list.

On Tuesday morning, the viva list would be out. I couldn't really sleep the night before. When Hua Chan called me and told me that my name was not on the list, I felt relieved. At least now I was closer to pass.

On Wednesday, we were told that result would be out on Thursday, so I went out to play the whole day to make myself tired and so that I could sleep well the particular night.

At Wednesday evening, my buddy called me and told me that every one had received their result via sms. Thank God that I got mine also, congratulating me on my pass!

Finally, I passed my phase II MBBS.

Soon, after one more month, I would be entering my third year, which will be the start of my clinical years. Time flies. Looking back all the things I'd done, I felt regretted, happy, sad, impressed, contented, a mixture of feelings in conclusion.

However, starting from today onwards, I swore to myself that I would not regret at anything that I would be doing!

saw my name at 61?

The goodbye and hello

Today I went for an interview, the invigilators asked me lots of unexpected questions. I didn't know this was how many times I attended such interviews. I felt tired. Why couldn't I get any scholarship?

Is there a possible as what my lecturer said that I looked like a rich guy so they didn't want to give me? For god sake, if I'm a rich guy, I won't run for couple interviews. It didn't sound fun okay? I just wish this time will successful.

After the interview, Hojun and I made a farewell for another of my best friends, Khan Khan in Parade after Fatt Chi.

They are leaving one by one, next Hojun, then Ostan, Jasper and Zoing. I wonder when we will have the chance to gather about, have a tea session and chit-chat at the Kopitiam. Maybe the topic when we talk about will be which company you get into or what profession you into...

Every stage we learn new things, meet new friends, adapt to the new environment. That doesn't mean that we shall forget thou :) Memory is kept deep inside your mind. It won't be deleted as you press the delete button on your keyboard. As long as you feel lonely, try to recall the memories with the bunch of old friends :) We shall always be around here. I'm the one waiting for all of my friends to come back from all over the world, bringing back at least the air or the sand :)

Anyhow, wish you guys all the best. XD I'm not sure whether I will attend at the airport, but I will try my best :) Hope you have my heartiest goodbye greetings...so long my friends....

The road that was not taken?

My friends are leaving for overseas to study soon. This leaving may be at least a year or 2.

Suddenly, some thoughts struck my mind. What if last time I didn't opt for the path I was choosing now?

What if I got JPA, taking actuarial science? Will it be good if now I were to flying to overseas to study? Got a chance to mingle with the Caucasian and people come from all over the world in other people's country? Earning USD rather than RMY is a better option it seems for every Malaysian. The main paid off will be leaving your mother country and family for a long time. For people who will not feel homesick, or didn't like their family much, it's a better choice for them. I wonder when the time comes to me, split for choices, which one I would rather pick.

What if I didn't enter matric and entered form 6? Will I get good result as those form sixes critised so much on other pre-U rather than their form six? What if I got good results in form six and now waiting to enter Singapore Uni? What will it be? In Bio or Physics stream? I would never know.

I always ponder if I have chosen a wrong path as I'm choosing. Though this profession will be respectful, the continuation learning process will be a tough one. I won't even know I dare or not in the future to hold a knife. I'm going to enter second year now. I guess the road I've chosen, could go back no more.

Just wish that I would like this path.

Friends, I wish you all the best also...

Bali Beach

It was in the late evening. The sun was setting. I sat in the balcony of 9th floor, facing the wide, endless sea.

The place was packed. There was no place for me to lift my leg, so I just put my legs on the coffee table.

It was so silent when I could only heard the sound of Nature. The rough waves was chopping and striking on the shore and the stone so hard that I could hear the splashing sound from few hundred metres away in my room.

There was a garden after the shore, where birds were chirping and chasing one another in the air. I bet they like the unpolluted environment pretty much as well.

The rustle of the coconut tree was forced by the strong gust, making them to dance in the air.

When I craned my neck to look beneath, there was a few pools where children were playing and the adults were sunbathing. Though the children were shouting, the strong waves overcame the din.

The sea breeze was so tender caressing my face. I like this feel very much. I closed my eyes and listen to the call of the Nature.

Rainy Night

Tonight, tonight, won't be just any night, tonight there will be no morning star.

It was a gloomy night. When I came home, it was about 9. Getting down from the car, I did not really care the strong wind blowing my hair unkempt. After taking my bath, I went downstairs to accompany my friend.

I was resting on the couch, reading newspaper. Suddenly, out from nowhere, I heard the sharp splashing sound of water on the roof and the floor. Only then I realised that it was raining. I unlocked the grilled side door, walking out to the porch.

The downpour wasn't really torrential nor any lightning ensued. I like listening to the dropping sound of water. Amidst the spatter, there was drifting of piano played by my friend. The vibration of the tight thread in the piano was as if trying to mingle into the beats of the splattering, making its effort to create a better harmony. The dancing notes was squeezing and wading through the water.

The taste of the humid air tantalised my taste buds with fresh air vapour. The freezing breeze caressed my face and lips so gently and tenderly. I was so indulged in kissing the sweet air till I slowly pulled my eyelids, tasting them carefully. I gulped the cool air, deep breath by deep breath. My lungs could even tell that they were chilled with the fresh air.

I tried my best effort to pull up my eyelids, they had a strong repulsive force, telling me that they still had no long enough to enjoy the moment. Finally, when they gave in, I saw the silhouette of the nature creature flying across my garden. In the darkness, my down light in the porch seemed the only means to light up the whole garden. With the drifting of music from the inside, I could vaguely see the treble and bass clefs dancing in the rain.

I love rainy day. But how many busy people realise the beauty of it?
